A member of Department of Planning 1995 graduating class, Professor Raymond Asomani-Boateng has presented a quantity of books and other learning materials to some Departments here at KNUST. They are Departments of: Planning, Political Science, Geography and, History and Political Studies.
The presentation, according to Professor Asomani-Boateng, was to acknowledge and express appreciation to the University for the impact it has made in his life. Professor Asomani-Boateng is currently a lecturer at the Minnesota State University (MSU), USA.
Professor Kwesi Kwafo Adarkwa, former Vice-Chancellor of the University in an introductory remark earlier, recounted the memorandum of understanding (MOU) that exists between KNUST and MSU and expressed his delight for the generous gesture by MSU through various donations in kind and cash to KNUST.
The Heads of the beneficiary Departments present, took turns to thank the alumnus for his generosity and support and affirmed that the materials will be put to good use for the benefit of both staff and students in the various Departments.
In appreciation for the donations, the Political Science Students Association also presented a citation to honour Professor Raymond Asomani-Boateng for his goodwill towards his alma mater.
